The concept of Tabarruk (seeking blessings), as one of the central notions in Islamic tradition, has always been a subject of interest and varying interpretations. Among these interpretations, two distinct perspectives have emerged from Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh and Sayyid Muhammad bin Alawi Al-Maliki Al-Hasani regarding the scope and legitimacy of this concept. This research, adopting a descriptive-analytical approach, aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the views of these two prominent scholars by examining their foundations, arguments, and conclusions on the topic of Tabarruk. The findings of this study indicate that while both thinkers emphasize Tawhid (monotheism) and the avoidance of shirk (polytheism) in the issue of Tabarruk, they have fundamental disagreements over the determination of its legitimate instances. Sheikh Saleh Al-Sheikh, relying on the principle of explicit textual evidence and the uninterrupted practices of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), limits the scope of legitimate Tabarruk to the person and relics of the Prophet during his lifetime. In contrast, Sayyid Muhammad bin Alawi Al-Maliki Al-Hasani, with a broader understanding of the concept of Tawassul (intercession) and validation of the practical traditions of the companions after the Prophet's passing, extends the permissibility of Tabarruk to include his relics, pious individuals, and sacred places, provided there is no belief in the independent efficacy of these intermediaries.
