Ali ibn al-Husayn al-Musawi, known as Sayyid Murtada, brought about significant transformations and advancements in Shi'a thought across theological and jurisprudential domains. He made substantial contributions to various branches of knowledge and scholarship. Al-Amali is one of his distinguished and influential works, comprising eighty sessions. In this text, Sayyid Murtada explores and articulates his distinct theological foundations in the interpretation and explanation of hadiths. The present study aims to analyze and clarify the theological foundations of Sayyid Murtada’s hadith jurisprudence as reflected in Al-Amali. Accordingly, it is necessary, first, to facilitate accessible and effective engagement with this work, and second, to acquaint readers with Sayyid Murtada’s profound theological principles and his interpretive approach to narrations—an approach that has contributed to the affirmation of Shi'a doctrine. Using a descriptive-analytical method and drawing upon the content of Al-Amali, this research demonstrates that Sayyid Murtada, in his engagement with hadiths, adheres to specific theological principles such as: the non-corporeality of God, the superiority of prophets (peace be upon them) over angels, the merit-based nature of reward and punishment, and the belief that infallibility is not limited exclusively to prophets and Imams (peace be upon them), among others.
