The Fadakiyyah Sermon of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (PBUH), as a hadith-historical text, is replete with references to the Prophetic Sunnah. The main problem of this research is to explain how Lady Fatimah utilizes the Prophetic Sunnah in the structure of theological arguments and how these references are validated based on hadith criteria. The hypothesis posits that the Prophetic Sunnah in this sermon serves not as a decorative element, but as a "central signifier" for constructing theological truth in the two domains of Imamate and the legitimacy of the caliphate. The research method is qualitative content analysis focused on the version of the sermon in Tabarsi's Al-Ihtijaj, employing a combined hadith-theological approach grounded in the theory of hadith authenticity (including chain, textual, and spiritual authenticity). The findings reveal that Fatimah's references can be categorized into three types: explicit references to the sayings of the Prophet (PBUH) (such as Hadith al-Thaqalayn and Hadith Fadak), implicit references to the Prophet's conduct and actions, and references to the Prophet's tacit approval and endorsement. The analysis of hadith authenticity, emphasizing "spiritual frequency" (tawatur ma'nawi), demonstrates that although some particular chains may be questionable at the documentary level, at the semantic and structural level, the references possess such coherence and renown that one can speak of "a single report with spiritual frequency." The theological function of the Sunnah in the sermon encompasses three axes: proving the legitimacy of the Imamate of Ali (PBUH), negating the legitimacy of the Saqifah system by demonstrating its contradiction with the Prophetic Sunnah, and establishing a new method in political theology based on "narrative argumentation" rather than relying solely on mere reason. The conclusion is that the Fadakiyyah Sermon presents a model of "tradition-based living theology" which, compared to the method of early theologians, holds greater persuasive power for religious audience.
