The issue of the attributes of the news, especially the attribute of “Wajullah”, has always been a point of intersection of different approaches among Islamic movements. This study, focusing on the attribute of “Wajullah” in the Quran and Sunnah, has conducted a comparative study of the views of the scholars of Hadith and Wahhabism and has examined the extent to which Wahhabism follows the methodology of the scholars of Hadith. The findings showed that the scholars of Hadith, contrary to the common uniform image, did not have a uniform approach when dealing with the attribute of “Wajullah”; rather, a range of views, including semantic interpretation, assignment of meaning, and in limited cases, proving the origin of the attribute without objective explanation, have been reported among them. A study of the interpretations of the Companions, their followers, and the great scholars of Hadith indicated that the dominant opinion was to avoid adhering to the organic appearance of “Wajullah” and to try to avoid the elements of simile and personification. In contrast, Wahhabism, by explicitly rejecting interpretation and assignment of meaning, has considered the attribute of “Wajullah” to be a true and intrinsic attribute and has emphasized the proof of its real, albeit unknown, quality. Analysis of the verses and narrations cited by the Wahhabis showed that this approach is practically accompanied by the acceptance of the physical requirements of the attribute "face", although it is verbally denied the analogy. The result is that the Wahhabism claim of the complete extension of the Hadith scholars' method regarding the attributes of news, especially in the attribute "face of Allah", is not consistent with the Quranic-Hadithic evidence, and this trend has presented a distinct and incompatible reading with the dominant approach of the early Hadith scholars.
